As the founder of The Grid Iron Company, I wanted to share the passion that we have for cooking with the best local ingredients. In our part of the world, North Yorkshire and The Yorkshire Dales, we have a wealth of good local food and food producers. At Grid Iron, we specialise in native breed meat and charcuterie and have created some products that we are very proud of, often in collaboration with some great artisan producers and chefs.
Through Grid Iron Gourmet, we want to share our adventure in food and pass on some of the knowledge and creativity of the people we know and work with.
Food is an important part of our lives. It is not only essential for our health and survival, but also, for many people, as a source of pleasure. We are all on a journey of discovery in our food adventures and sharing successes, and failures, is both fulfilling and useful.
When we take the life of an animal for food, we are duty bound to do it justice and not waste anything. This is our goal at Grid Iron and one of the reasons we started making charcuterie products. As we continue to explore the world of cooking and charcuterie we hope to pass on some of our findings as we go.
